Scientist, Antibody Developability

About the role

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments. As a Scientist in Antibody Developability you will create and productize a high‑throughput panel of assays that assess antibody manufacturability, stability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Build and validate a developability assessment panel hands‑on (thermostability, aggregation, self‑association, polyreactivity, solubility, chemical‑liability).
• Turn the assay panel into a productized, high‑throughput service that customers can order.
• Partner with lab‑automation engineers to scale and automate the assays for fast, reproducible turnaround.
• Work with software and ML teams to structure data and connect it to computational developability predictions.
• Interpret results, advise customers on liabilities and guide next‑generation engineering decisions.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience assessing antibody developability in an industry setting (discovery, engineering or development).
• Strong understanding of the link between early biophysical signals and downstream manufacturability and stability.
• Ability to move quickly, stand up new capabilities and productize them.
• Comfort collaborating with automation engineers and software/ML teams to close the wet‑lab‑data loop.

Required skills

• Thermostability assays (DSF, nanoDSF).
• Aggregation and self‑association assays (SEC, HIC, AC‑SINS, DLS).
• Polyreactivity, solubility and chemical‑liability assessment techniques.
• Lab automation integration.
• Data structuring and scripting for structured datasets.
