About the role

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva seeks a dedicated Secretary (50% FTE) to support the Department of Pathology and Immunology. Working closely with department leadership and research teams, you will ensure smooth administrative operations and contribute to the department’s academic and research mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage administrative and budgetary tracking for institutional and public research funds.
• Handle daily department administration: calendar management, mail processing, expense reporting, badge issuance, and official correspondence.
• Organise logistical and administrative aspects of events and meetings.
• Facilitate information flow between research teams, university services, and external partners.

Required profile

• Commercial clerk diploma (CFC) or equivalent qualification.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar administrative role.
• Strong organisational skills, analytical mindset and ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent French proficiency and good English (minimum B1 level).
• Team‑player with solid interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with SAP (considered an asset).
