Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

About the role

Nexi Group, formed by the merger of Nexi, Nets and Sia, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Swiss Finance Team in Gland (Vaud). The role supports the CFO/Head of Finance in driving operational accounting processes efficiently, within a team of colleagues from across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Support the CFO/Head of Finance on operational accounting: accounts receivable (including dunning), invoicing and accounts payable.
• Take an active part in operational accounting to keep processes running on time and avoid backlogs.
• Keep accounting process documentation well documented and regularly updated for continuous improvement.
• Prepare and manage the monthly close, reporting and reconciliations with the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant, including quarterly VAT reporting to the tax authorities.
• Back up AR, invoicing and AP processes and respond to customer enquiries when needed.
• Support the CFO/Head of Finance on ad-hoc requests.

Required profile

• Certified Accountant or in progress (mandatory).
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Several years of experience in operational accounting, in a shared service centre or a similar role.
• Native French with advanced business English; advanced German is a plus.
• Customer- and business-oriented, proactive, clear communicator and team player.

Required skills

• S4/HANA experience on financial modules (mandatory).
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with process management documentation tools such as Visio.
• Good presentation skills in English, face-to-face and remotely.
