Senior Analyst – Humanitarian Data Analysis (Geneva)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Analysis Unit in Geneva. The role focuses on quantitative analysis that supports needs‑based, people‑centred, and effective humanitarian assistance, contributing to key decision‑making processes such as the Humanitarian Programme Cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine analysis products, including the Acute Needs Analysis (ANA).
• Use statistical software (R, Stata, Python) to test and improve quantitative methodologies for acute needs assessment.
• Identify areas at risk of large‑scale loss of life and estimate life‑threatening needs.
• Support the Community Priorities Specialist in refining quantitative methods for community priorities analysis.
• Assist in the roll‑out of analytical products in‑country and collaborate with specialists across the three assistance pillars.
• Contribute to humanitarian prioritization decisions, including donor resource allocation.

Required profile

• Experience in quantitative analysis of humanitarian or crisis‑affected data.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Analysis Unit Manager.
• Familiarity with needs‑based, people‑centred, and effective assistance frameworks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in R.
