Senior Backend Developer – Python & Cloud Technologies

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join a fast‑moving team that builds backend systems for innovative security solutions. Based in Switzerland, you will work in a collaborative environment, shaping architecture and driving technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable backend services.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve system performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to translate complex requirements into robust solutions.
• Build and optimise data‑processing workflows ensuring high availability and speed.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Promote best practices through automation, testing, and code‑quality initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python, including its ecosystem and asynchronous programming.
• Proven ability to work with at least two programming languages in production.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑powered development tools.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, distributed systems, and microservices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a distributed international team.
• Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or cloud security is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
