Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) – Hybrid – Zurich

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer specialized in Golang to join the backend team of our online marketplaces, tutti.ch and anibis.ch. You will work in a hybrid setting from Zurich, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact services to over 300 k users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, deploy and monitor Go‑based backend services on AWS with Kubernetes.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, code reviews and daily deployments.
• Collaborate with Platform (infrastructure) and Data (BI) teams, as well as product owners, designers and front‑end engineers.
• Maintain high test coverage using Testify and integration tests for databases, Redis and Kafka.
• Ensure reliable operation of services using PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, SendGrid and Auth0.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience with Golang and other strongly typed languages.
• Proven ability to make technical decisions and drive project outcomes.
• Positive attitude, pragmatic mindset and strong empathy for teammates.
