Senior Business Analyst / Developer

About the role

The Bank for International Settlements is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Developer to join its Risk Management – Risk IT team. Based in Basel (with global hiring flexibility), you will help shape the bank’s IT strategy by designing and building software solutions that support financial risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, develop, implement, document and test Risk IT applications, interfaces, services and processes.
• Maintain and enhance Risk Management’s IT systems in line with the bank’s overall IT architecture.
• Provide 24/7 production support for critical risk systems, ensuring stability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Banking, ITS and Corporate Security units to integrate new containerised micro‑service solutions.
• Manage projects using the bank’s agile project‑management methodology, including reporting and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Significant experience in the financial services domain, particularly in risk management.
• Proven ability to analyse and design efficient, robust business processes.
• Strong communication skills to work with business users and technical teams.
