Senior Consultant – M&A Advisory in Financial Services

About the role

Join EY's Transactions Corporate Finance team in Zurich as a Senior Consultant focusing on M&A advisory for financial services clients. You will work on high‑profile sell‑side and buy‑side transactions, gaining hands‑on experience across the full deal lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review transaction deliverables such as information memoranda, teasers, management presentations and other client‑facing materials.
• Build and review financial models and valuations using market multiples, precedent transactions, DCF and other methodologies.
• Support end‑to‑end M&A execution, managing workstreams and coordinating with clients, lawyers and other stakeholders.
• Conduct industry, market and company analyses to inform strategic decisions.
• Participate in due‑diligence processes, summarise findings and provide actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field with strong academic record.
• 2–4 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, deal advisory or private equity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple transactions, communicate with clients and take ownership of the deal cycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; French is a strong asset.

• Advanced Excel for financial modeling.
• PowerPoint for client presentations.
• Valuation techniques including DCF, market multiples and precedent transactions.
