Senior Controlling Specialist – IP & Inventory Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Controlling Specialist to lead IP & Inventory Management for a global life‑sciences client. This 1‑year fixed‑term position is based in Switzerland and supports month‑end closing, inventory accuracy, and cross‑functional finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end closing across Accounting Standards, Consolidation, Manufacturing, Transfer Pricing, Tax, and Cost of Sales & Inventory.
• Oversee period‑end inventory accuracy in close collaboration with Cost of Sales and Inventory teams.
• Manage statutory and tax ledgers and prepare annual reports under Swiss GAAP and Singapore IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with internal control standards (S404) and continuously improve controls for Inventory, AtR, and OTC processes.
• Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Tax, Treasury, and Global Delivery Operations in Lisbon and Kuala Lumpur.
• Support Transfer Pricing adjustments for the Inventory Hub.
• Participate in finance automation and simplification projects.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and handle account reconciliations using dedicated tools.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• At least 8 years of corporate accounting or finance experience.
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and Swiss GAAP.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4 HANA and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong presentation skills.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently.
