Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to protect modern IT environments from evolving threats. You will work across security operations, architecture, and incident response, making a tangible impact on our organisation’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Assess vulnerability reports and coordinate remediation with internal teams and external partners.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks before incidents occur.
• Operate and continuously enhance the Security Operations Centre (SOC), handling detection, investigation, and response.
• Design, implement, and improve security architectures for on‑premise and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and process documentation.
• Support security audits, risk assessments, and provide guidance on architectural decisions.

Required profile

• MSc in Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT Security, or equivalent qualification.
• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience in IT or Cyber Security.
• Strong knowledge of networking, Windows, Linux, and cloud security.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR solutions, and incident response processes.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or CEH are advantageous.
• German language skills at B2 level or above.
• Proactive mindset with excellent analytical, communication, and collaborative abilities.
