Senior Data Analyst - Gaming

About the role

A partner company is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in Switzerland. The role turns complex gaming and player data into actionable insights that drive product performance, user engagement and business growth. It sits at the intersection of data analytics, statistics and data science, working closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Product Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of game and player data to find patterns, trends and growth opportunities
• Turn analytical findings into recommendations for product improvements
• Investigate performance anomalies and changes in player behavior
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers on hypotheses, machine learning tasks and model validation
• Apply statistical analysis and causal inference to identify drivers of user behavior
• Support predictive models through feature engineering, dataset preparation, A/B testing and experiment design
• Build dashboards, reports and KPI tracking tools, and define metrics for new products
• Communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Use AI coding assistants to automate routine tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or a quantitative discipline
• At least 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in gaming, iGaming or technology
• Experience with large datasets and distributed processing tools such as BigQuery, Spark or Hive
• Advanced SQL and strong Python skills with pandas and scikit-learn
• Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI; knowledge of A/B testing, experimental design and causal inference
• Working knowledge of machine learning fundamentals; familiarity with uplift modeling
• English at B2 level or above
• Nice to have: knowledge of iGaming and slot game mechanics
