Senior Data Modeler (Snowflake)

About the role

Fusion Consulting, a global Life Sciences consultancy, is looking for a skilled and motivated Data Modeler (Snowflake) to support the integration of regional data warehouses into a centralized Snowflake-based data platform for its pharmaceutical clients. This mid-level role suits candidates with a strong foundation in physical data modeling and implementation in Snowflake, working across data engineering, architecture and governance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement physical data models in Snowflake, focusing on scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Translate conceptual and logical models into Snowflake-ready schemas, tables and views.
• Collaborate with data engineers to refine ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.
• Align models and metadata with governance standards and tools, including Collibra.
• Document modeling and transformation logic for traceability and compliance.
• Support performance tuning and optimization of data pipelines.
• Work in a distributed, global environment with technical and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4-7 years of experience as a Data Modeler or similar role.
• Proven expertise in Snowflake physical data modeling and SQL.
• Understanding of data integration and ETL/ELT principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Snowflake physical data modeling and SQL.
• Preferred: experience with dbt, Matillion or Fivetran.
• Preferred: metadata and governance platforms, ideally Collibra.
• Preferred: familiarity with AWS S3, data quality tools such as Ataccama, and pharmaceutical/life sciences data and regulatory frameworks.
