Senior Development Engineer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing, innovation‑driven medical technology company in Switzerland. The Senior Development Engineer will own product development projects from concept through industrialisation, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development projects, defining scope, timelines, resources, risks and deliverables.
• Act as the central technical interface across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and external partners.
• Drive hands‑on product and component development, including conceptual design, prototyping, testing strategies and technical assessments.
• Own Design Control activities throughout the product lifecycle in line with quality and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate internal and external testing and validation, support root‑cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to risk management and regulatory documentation for a regulated product environment.

Required profile

• Technical degree in engineering, materials science, medical technology or a related discipline.
• Several years of product development experience in a regulated industry, MedTech preferred.
• Proven track record of leading technical projects and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of Design Control, verification/validation and technical documentation.
• Hands‑on, structured, solution‑oriented working style with a quality mindset.
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
