Senior DevOps / CI/CD Engineer – Ansible & Deployment Automation

About the role

We are seeking a senior CI/CD Engineer with deep, hands‑on Ansible expertise to design and improve deployment automation in a highly regulated, safety‑critical environment. You will join a rapidly growing, flat‑structured team where each engineer influences technical decisions and architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and optimise Ansible playbooks and automation solutions with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Use and improve Ansible Automation Platform to support robust, repeatable software deployments.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for production and simulation applications using Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, RHEL and Windows.
• Develop and maintain scripts in Bash, PowerShell, Python and/or Ruby.
• Improve configuration management and deployment practices, including advanced Jenkins logic, Puppet modules, GitOps and Gitflow workflows.
• Analyse deployment, integration and infrastructure issues and implement sustainable corrective solutions.

Required profile

• Deep, hands‑on experience with Ansible, including design, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Ability to become productive quickly in an unfamiliar technical environment and deliver results with limited guidance.
• Strong technical judgement, capable of analysing problems, proposing clear approaches and contributing to architectural decisions.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in DevOps or software engineering, with significant automation exposure.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace or finance.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
