Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps team at Proton builds and scales the developer tooling platform used by hundreds of engineers across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will own critical CI/CD infrastructure, deepen GitOps workflows, and improve supply‑chain security while solving complex infrastructure problems.

Key responsibilities

• Own and scale CI/CD infrastructure handling tens of thousands of jobs daily, including capacity planning and runner architecture.
• Deepen GitOps workflows built on ArgoCD, improving operational processes and cluster state management.
• Advance supply‑chain security posture through SAST, artifact attestation and related initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across network, application, and system layers.

Required profile

• Strong Kubernetes experience, including tuning and troubleshooting on‑prem Linux systems under real load.
• Hands‑on CI/CD background; experience with GitLab CI is a plus.
• Practical GitOps experience, ideally with ArgoCD.
• Software development skills in Python, Golang or Rust to build and maintain tooling.
• Configuration management experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Security mindset grounded in DevSecOps practices, with supply‑chain security experience considered an advantage.
