Senior Freelance Web Developer

About the role

This role is for a senior freelance web developer based in Switzerland, working on high‑priority internal platforms and client‑facing initiatives. You will design, build and maintain scalable full‑stack web applications, contributing to both architecture and operational ownership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance web applications across frontend and backend.
• Contribute to system architecture, including API design, data models, authentication and cloud infrastructure.
• Implement complex features and intuitive user interfaces from concept to deployment.
• Integrate third‑party services and internal systems to enhance functionality.
• Optimize applications for accessibility, SEO, Core Web Vitals and overall user experience.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows and secure hosting environments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues independently and produce clear documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering production‑ready full‑stack web applications.
• Strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and TypeScript.
• Solid backend experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, databases and state management.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in fast‑paced environments.
