Senior Frontend Developer - UEBA Product

About the role

Exeon, a Swiss cybersecurity company based in Zurich, is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer (80-100%, as soon as possible, Germany or Switzerland) to work on its UEBA (User and Entity Behaviour Analytics) product. You will join a small cross-functional team of backend engineers, frontend engineers and QA engineers on a data-heavy single-page application used by enterprise customers to analyse network traffic and spot security risks, with data shown as tables, graphs and dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components for the UEBA product, a React-based SPA focused on responsive design, performance and code quality (unit and integration tests).
• Turn complex user and entity behaviour data and security insights into intuitive tables, graphs and dashboards, applying information architecture and UX principles.
• Handle large datasets and optimise frontend rendering for responsive, performant interfaces.
• Use AI-assisted development tools while keeping code quality, testing, security and architectural consistency high.
• Integrate with the UEBA backend APIs, handling data fetching, transformation and state management.
• Contribute to UI/UX design decisions and drive improvements with engineers and stakeholders.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews and knowledge sharing, and contribute to frontend roadmap priorities.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience as a frontend engineer and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or similar).
• Proactive, self-motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced scale-up, with ownership of work and accountability for code quality.
• Fluent English.
• Nice to have: mentoring or coaching experience, familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and SOC workflows, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.

Required skills

• Strong expertise in JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, React and modern build tooling (Webpack, Vite).
• React functional components with hooks (lifecycle, state, side effects) and automated tests with React Testing Library and Jest.
• Linux and Docker, able to manage development environments and VMs independently.
• UI/UX principles; nice to have: TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines, NGINX.
