Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

coni + partner, a consultancy founded in 1993 with headquarters in Zurich and subsidiaries in Dusseldorf and Shanghai, is recruiting on behalf of its client, the asset management of an international bank in Zurich. The Senior Fund Accountant is based in Zurich and handles the day-to-day accounting and reporting of private equity, private debt and private real estate funds.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out accounting, daily and monthly NAV calculations and bookkeeping for liquid, illiquid, private equity, private debt and private real estate funds
• Control cash flow and capital account statements and reconcile fund transactions
• Support the launch, merger and closure of funds, and issue notices and monthly statements
• Prepare annual financial statements, assist with regulatory fund reporting and prepare tax returns
• Produce investment reports for senior management and deal with external stakeholders such as auditors, investors, custodians and regulators
• Monitor master data, fee management and price publication, and coordinate daily fund administration processes
• Assist in implementing new investment products in the systems, monitor accounting guidelines and fund regulations, and handle ad hoc fund administration projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting; further accounting qualifications are an advantage
• Professional experience in fund accounting in the fund industry, a bank or with a Big Four, especially in private equity
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and good understanding of fund-sector accounting regulations
• Good communication skills, team orientation, English and German

Required skills

• IT fluency with systems such as Avaloq, SimCorp or Investran
• Competent use of MS Word and Excel
