Senior Golang Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Golang Backend Developer to own and evolve the core backend services that power our HR‑Tech platform. You will work in a fast‑moving product team, writing production code daily and influencing architectural decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using Go.
• Build and evolve GraphQL and/or REST APIs supporting complex hiring workflows.
• Architect scalable, reliable and maintainable systems, including data modeling and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, data engineers and designers.
• Conduct code reviews, improve testing strategy, observability and system resilience.
• Refactor legacy code, address technical debt and drive long‑term improvements.
• Take ownership of features from design through production and participate in Agile ceremonies.

• Strong sense of ownership for complex features and systems.
• Ability to make informed architectural decisions and explain trade‑offs.
• Clear communicator with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to raising code quality through example and reviews.

• Go (Golang)

• Distributed systems and service‑oriented architectures
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab preferred)
• Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providers
