Senior Internal Audit Officer – HQ, Geneva

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a senior professional to lead internal audit, risk management and accountability functions at its headquarters in Geneva. Reporting directly to the CEO, the officer will support the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team in fostering a culture of transparency, continuous improvement and informed risk management across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and strengthen the relevance, quality and effectiveness of IMPACT’s risk management, internal control, compliance and accountability frameworks.
• Monitor organisational risks, ensure they are identified, tracked and mitigated in line with strategic objectives.
• Provide independent assurance to the CEO and senior leadership on governance, risk and control matters.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and controls across headquarters and country operations.
• Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous learning throughout the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, risk management or compliance within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership and influence organisational culture.
• Strong understanding of governance, accountability and transparency requirements in humanitarian or non‑profit contexts.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
