Senior iOS Developer (Swift) - Remote

About the role

A partner company, acting on behalf of the hiring employer, is looking for a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) based in Switzerland. The role is fully remote and international, focusing on building and enhancing a native mobile application with a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusive design. You will work with technical teams to keep code quality and application performance high.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance native iOS applications using Swift, adding new features and improving existing ones.
• Build and optimise user interfaces with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, keeping them consistent, responsive and high quality.
• Maintain robust application architecture, optimise performance and fix technical issues.
• Design and implement accessibility features, including VoiceOver integration and iOS Accessibility APIs.
• Implement Dynamic Type and scalable font sizes, and configure accessibility labels, traits, values and actions.
• Manage accessibility focus and run hands-on accessibility testing, especially with VoiceOver.
• Validate implementations against WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 and work with stakeholders on accessible, maintainable solutions.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native iOS application development.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in native iOS apps.
• Strong practical knowledge of VoiceOver, including testing and optimising screen-reader navigation.
• Experience with iOS Accessibility APIs, Dynamic Type and accessibility focus management.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, ideally including WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2.
• Good written and spoken English and the ability to work independently in a remote, international setting.
