Senior Manager - Business Tax (Financial Services)

About the role

Deloitte's Tax Team in Zurich supports its clients, especially institutions in the banking, insurance and fund industries, with complex tax law questions and strategic and operational tax challenges. The role works 80% to 100% of the time and focuses on financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise domestic and foreign financial institutions on international restructurings, the tax treatment of financial products and their tax reporting obligations
• Handle operational tax issues such as withholding tax and stamp duties, as well as domestic and foreign withholding taxes
• Carry out tax compliance mandates for banks, insurance companies and fund management companies
• Support audit projects by checking tax aspects in the annual financial statements of banks, insurers and fund managers
• Work on international projects with client responsibility

Required profile

• Degree as a certified tax expert or a specialised Swiss Master's degree (e.g. LL.M. Swiss and International Taxation)
• Academic qualification in administration, economics or law
• 6 years of experience in the financial services industry and/or tax and legal consulting with a focus on financial services
• Positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to take responsibility
• Fluent German and English; other languages are an advantage
