Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering

About the role

Metso is looking for a Senior Manager, Electrical Engineering to join its Grinding Delivery team in the Minerals business area. You will lead and manage the Global Electrical Engineering team, delivering safe, compliant and high-quality electrical designs and control systems for Grinding equipment, while driving technical improvements, standardization and engineering excellence. The role reports to the VP, Project Delivery, Grinding, and is open to Espoo (Finland), West Perth (Australia), York (USA) or Baden (Switzerland), with a hybrid model and occasional international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the global Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EI&C) Engineering team.
• Oversee electrical, instrumentation and control engineering activities for Grinding equipment projects.
• Ensure project delivery meets safety, quality, schedule, cost, compliance and technical requirements.
• Manage global engineering resources and support proposal, sales and project execution teams.
• Drive standardization, process optimization, digitalization and AI initiatives within electrical engineering.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders across functions and regions.
• Support technology development, talent development and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in electrical, instrumentation or control engineering in industrial project environments.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, preferably in a global organization.
• Strong understanding of electrical design, project delivery, engineering tools and applicable industry standards.
• Ability to lead teams, prioritize and decide in a dynamic environment, and to work across cultures and time zones.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
