Senior Project Manager – AI Solutions

About the role

As part of vector8’s expansion in Switzerland, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex AI projects from planning through go‑live in Zurich. You will act as the delivery backbone, aligning business goals with technical realities and ensuring successful production rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI projects end‑to‑end, from scoping to production deployment.
• Serve as the primary delivery partner for stakeholders, shaping roadmaps and managing expectations.
• Establish delivery plans, governance, and controls to track timelines, budgets and scope.
• Monitor project budgets, milestones and provide transparent reporting on progress and risks.
• Resolve blockers, raise emerging risks early and drive constructive stakeholder conversations.
• Collaborate with technology and strategy leads to design feasible, high‑quality solutions.
• Support pre‑sales with effort estimates and robust project plans.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience leading client‑facing, cross‑functional technology projects, preferably in consultancy or systems integration.
• Proven track record delivering complex engagements end‑to‑end.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the Swiss enterprise environment; banking or insurance background is a plus.
• Fluency in German and English; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Modern AI knowledge (generative AI, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, AI agents).
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and traditional approaches (PRINCE2, PMI).
• Understanding of data pipelines, AI models and cloud platforms.
