Senior Project Manager, PaaS & Cloud Automation

About the role

Lead end‑to‑end Architecture & Technology projects, covering cloud platforms, automation, middleware and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services. Drive technical delivery teams, ensure robust governance, and act as the bridge between business vision and technical reality.

Key responsibilities

• Own Architecture & Technology projects from initiation through execution to closure, including cloud platforms, automation, middleware and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services.
• Lead technical delivery teams, guiding engineering from analysis and architecture through development to live service and driving consensus on technical decisions.
• Run sound project governance: manage financials, resources, scope, quality, timeline, identify risks early, remove blockers and secure senior stakeholder buy‑in.
• Manage client and sales expectations with clear status updates, realistic timelines and polished business‑technical pitches up to C‑suite and Board level.
• Translate service and product ambitions into concrete technical implementations and communicate technical constraints in commercial terms.

Required profile

• Five or more years of project management experience for technical, cross‑functional projects and a university degree in technology, business or a comparable field.
• Proven track record delivering complex programmes end‑to‑end across multiple engineering teams in an international, agile‑driven environment.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS concepts, with experience building scalable platforms for real customers.
• Technical credibility with engineers, able to discuss implementation details, drive consensus and quickly adopt new cloud/IT technologies.
• Excellent communication in English up to C‑suite level; Italian is a strong asset.
