Senior Security Analyst (Hybrid, 80-100%)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for an experienced Senior Security Analyst to join its Cyber Defence team within Group Security & Technology Platforms. You will monitor current threats by analysing and handling major cyber incidents, produce detection content, investigate incidents and help improve incident response techniques. The role is hybrid (50:50, 2-3 days in the office) and sits in a team focused on high-quality detection monitoring and response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security operations, analyse alerts with advanced tools and detect incidents in real time, investigating and coordinating responses
• Investigate security incidents, contain breaches and implement remediation strategies
• Maintain high operational standards and stay updated on threats and trends
• Mentor a team of cybersecurity analysts and act as deputy to the Head of Monitoring
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures and controls, and ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards
• Take part in on-call rotations for urgent matters outside regular hours

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity as a Security Analyst or Incident Responder, preferably in a SOC/CSIRT setup
• In-depth knowledge of the threat landscape, offensive tooling and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and the Cyber Kill Chain
• Experience in malware and exploit analysis (or reverse engineering)
• Excellent oral and written English
• Nice to have: degree in CS, Cybersecurity or IT; stakeholder management and leadership experience

Required skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences
• Nice to have: SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, threat intelligence, cloud security (Azure or AWS), scripting (Python, Kusto), NIST/ISO/CIS frameworks, and certifications such as CEH, CISM, CCSP, CISSP

What we offer

• Base salary in Switzerland of CHF 128,000 to 192,000 for a full-time role, depending on profile and experience
• Possible performance-based bonus
