Senior Solutions Engineer (German Speaking)

About the role

Cloudera is seeking a customer‑facing Senior Solutions Engineer to drive technical sales for enterprise data, machine learning and AI platform solutions in Switzerland. You will own the sales process from initial meetings through post‑sales activities, focusing on Generative AI, predictive analytics and enterprise MLOps.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical sales cycle for new and existing customers, including demos, solution design and post‑sale support.
• Design and present solutions using Cloudera technologies such as Open Data Lakehouse, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and end‑to‑end ML pipelines.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to communicate business and technical value, and drive upselling and renewals.
• Advocate customer needs to Product Management and Engineering, and represent Cloudera at conferences, webinars and meetups.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of customer‑facing, preferably pre‑sales, experience with big data, enterprise software or advanced analytics platforms.
• Strong communication skills in English and fluent German, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Big Data technologies: Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, Hive, Hadoop ecosystem.
• AI/ML frameworks: PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LlamaIndex, vector databases, MLOps tooling.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
