Senior Specialist – Procurement Category Manager – Consumables

About the role

The Senior Specialist – Procurement Category Manager – Consumables will support the Global Procurement team in shaping the sourcing strategy for high‑impact consumables such as corrugate, specialized packaging, and warehouse supplies across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute flexible category strategies for consumables, focusing on corrugate, tape, void fill and other packing materials.
• Lead sourcing activities, RFP processes and business case creation for packaging initiatives while meeting sustainability goals.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with global packaging vendors to ensure quality, visibility and accountability.
• Identify and implement value‑engineering opportunities to optimise packaging design, reduce waste and lower total cost of ownership.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings with supply‑chain, operations and finance teams to align on specifications, lead times and inventory levels.
• Create and standardise internal reports on spend, multi‑channel packaging usage and supplier performance.
• Troubleshoot consumables supply‑chain issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with product and sustainability teams to test and roll out eco‑friendly packaging solutions.

• Strong packaging expertise with the ability to analyse root causes affecting performance and distribution efficiency.
• Commercial credibility to build trust with vendors and internal stakeholders during negotiations.
