Senior Tax Manager

About the role

R&D Partners is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join the Global Tax – EUCAN Tax group of a leading biotechnology company. The role bridges global tax strategy with regional execution across Europe, focusing on tax audits, compliance, litigation, and transfer pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with business partners, analysing tax implications of transactions.
• Communicate transparently with tax authorities at all levels.
• Oversee corporate income tax compliance and audit defence, coordinating with the Business Solutions Hub in Poland and local service providers.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate tax risks proactively.
• Lead tax audits, align information requests with global tax leads, and develop defence strategies.
• Streamline procedures for indirect taxes, withholding taxes, and related matters.
• Monitor legislative changes in the region and assess material impact on the business.
• Evaluate tax risks and recommend mitigating actions.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Master’s degree preferred, with a tax specialization.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a tax position, preferably in the life‑sciences sector.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and fiscal frameworks in Europe, including Eastern Europe.
• Fluent in English; German and an Eastern European language are advantages.
• Professional tax certification (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
