Senior Technical Business Analyst - Cash Operations & Payments

About the role

Avaloq, a Swiss provider of wealth management technology and services for financial institutions, is hiring a Senior Technical Business Analyst for its Cash Operations & Payments team in the Application Management Services (AMS). The team provides application maintenance (bug fixing) and small enhancements for the functional area and related topics for SaaS clients, working closely with the Back-Office department.

Key responsibilities

• Closely collaborate with the Team Lead, Business Analysts and other Software Engineers
• Write solution designs for new developments and have them reviewed with technical leads and architects
• Participate in client workshops and support business analysts in requirements analysis
• Design, develop and maintain solutions within the team's responsibility
• Improve and optimize existing functionalities
• Develop and maintain automated tests and quality assurance
• Work with an agile mindset, process and ticketing platforms (Jira)

Required profile

• Proven software development experience of at least 3 years
• Strong conceptual and analytical mind, structured and autonomous approach to complex technical and business problems
• Eagerness to understand business needs and deliver clean designs and high-quality code
• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred)
• Bonus: experience in the financial industry and/or cash operations and payments topics

Required skills

• Database technologies (SQL, Oracle PL/SQL)
• Paidement standards such as SIC, euroSIC, SEPA and SWIFT MT or MX (ISO20022) are a bonus
