Senior Wealth Planner

About the role

Join the Wealth Planning Team at Union Bancaire Privée in Zurich and work closely with Relationship Managers to address clients' wealth planning needs. You will provide expert guidance on succession, legacy, tax suitability, mobility planning and wealth structuring, ensuring compliance with KYC/AML requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively engage with bankers to identify client needs and capture business opportunities.
• Deliver and train Private Bankers on up‑to‑date tax and legal developments.
• Design and present compliant wealth planning solutions tailored to each client.
• Meet clients and prospects, including business travel with bankers.
• Promote Wealth Planning services through presentations and publications on high‑impact themes.
• Maintain technical expertise on market‑specific regulations and adopt a risk‑based approach.
• Build and sustain a network of intermediaries such as trust providers, tax and law firms.
• Collaborate with Compliance on complex cases, verify beneficial ownership and document structuring rationales.
• Support onboarding of structure‑heavy clients and perform compliance‑initiated reviews.

Required profile

• Strong background in private wealth planning, tax and legal structuring.
• Ability to work closely with compliance teams and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Excellent client‑facing skills and experience delivering training and presentations.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a focus on risk mitigation.

Required skills

• KYC/AML compliance knowledge.
• Understanding of trusts, foundations, SPVs and other fiduciary structures.
• Familiarity with Swiss private banking regulations.
