Senior Wording Intelligence Specialist (Hybrid)

About the role

Swiss Re is looking for a Senior Wording Intelligence Specialist in Zurich, working 80-100% of the time in a hybrid model with at least three days per week in the office. The role sits at the intersection of insurance and reinsurance contract wordings, Generative AI and technology, and helps shape how AI is used to understand complex contracts at scale. It is neither a traditional legal role nor a data science role.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key wording expert, owning selected wording topics and contributing to Group-wide standards and reference knowledge with Business Unit experts.
• Translate contractual knowledge and business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions, working with Product, Data Science and Technology teams on clause assessment, deviation analysis and document intelligence.
• Review and challenge AI-enabled wording capabilities for contractual accuracy and reliability, setting quality standards before formal expert validation.
• Promote consistent use of wording knowledge and continuous improvement across contract review, search and analytics products.
• Identify and help test new applications of AI and analytics for contractual analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in insurance or reinsurance contracts and wordings, with strong knowledge of contractual interpretation and its underwriting or risk implications.
• University degree or equivalent in law, insurance, business or another relevant discipline.
• Interest in Generative AI, with some practical experience using AI tools and an understanding of their opportunities and limitations.
• Ability to collaborate across underwriting, legal, Product, Data Science and Technology teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with LegalTech, contract intelligence solutions, AI evaluation, wording standards, data analytics or emerging AI technologies.

What we offer

• Base salary in Switzerland of 128,000 to 192,000 CHF (full time equivalent), depending on profile and requirements.
