Senior/Lead Backend Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Fuse Energy is building a next‑generation renewable energy platform and needs a senior backend engineer to design and deliver its core digital infrastructure. You will work closely with product teams to create highly‑available, real‑time services that power the company’s energy‑trading and consumer applications.

Key responsibilities

• Construct a real‑time digital twin of renewable generation and customer demand.
• Develop messaging interfaces with third‑party providers.
• Build high‑volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption data.
• Implement the backend for a world‑class energy consumer app.
• Adapt quickly to evolving business needs and own end‑to‑end project delivery.

Required profile

• Demonstrable excellence as a software engineer.
• At least 2 years of professional experience.
• Proven ability to design and build complex, highly‑available systems.
• Hands‑on experience shipping production‑grade backend services.
• Clear communication skills.

Required skills

• AWS CDK (infrastructure as code).
