Shipping Accountant Intern

About the role

Join TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping as a Shipping Accountant Intern and gain hands‑on experience in the fast‑moving world of energy trading and maritime logistics. You will work closely with a Senior Accountant, supporting the accounting function of the Shipping division for a six‑month period.

Key responsibilities

• Control and account for invoices and overhead costs.
• Process payments and issue invoices.
• Review results of spot voyages and reconcile related entries.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and internal reporting.
• Support VAT and tax declaration preparation.
• Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements and audit documentation.
• Participate in projects aimed at process automation and operational improvement.

Required profile

• Pursuing a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related Business discipline, preferably in the final year.
• Excellent written and spoken English and French.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of standard IT tools used in finance.
