Site E&A Team Manager

About the role

As the Site E&A Team Manager at Nestlé’s Product & Technology Center in Orbe, you will lead the electrical, automation and instrumentation engineering activities that support pilot‑plant trials and innovation. You will work closely with project engineers, quality and safety teams, factories and external partners to ensure safe, compliant and reliable delivery of new processes and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical, automation and instrumentation project portfolio, driving scope, cost and resource planning to deliver projects on time, within budget and to safety standards.
• Design, build and commission reliable electrical and automation systems that enable successful pilot trials and reduce technical risk.
• Develop, test and validate sustainable engineering solutions and prototype equipment ready for first deployment in factories.
• Capture learnings from trials, commissioning and post‑deployment feedback to continuously improve safety, quality and system reliability.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing E&A team, fostering cross‑site partnerships and supplier collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in electrical engineering, automation and instrumentation applied to industrial environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects from concept through commissioning.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement of safety, quality and maintenance performance.
• Ability to coach and develop team members through clear prioritisation and constructive feedback.
• Fluent English; working proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
