Site IT Infrastructure Specialist – Basel

About the role

D-ploy is seeking a dedicated Site IT Infrastructure Specialist to be the central point of contact for the local IT infrastructure at its Rotkreuz site in Switzerland. You will ensure a stable, secure, and well‑maintained environment while collaborating with regional and global IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for local IT infrastructure, representing site requirements to regional and global teams.
• Maintain stable, available, and secure IT services, coordinating incidents, outages, and escalations.
• Plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, downtimes, and infrastructure changes following change‑management processes.
• Monitor LAN, WLAN, WAN, and internet connectivity, managing upgrades, expansions, and fault resolution.
• Oversee installation, replacement, decommissioning, and lifecycle management of hardware, including network cabinets, switches, access points, and cabling.
• Support office relocations, renovations, new construction, and laboratory setups, coordinating with architects, facilities, and external service providers.
• Ensure compliance with IT security, architecture standards, and support audits, vulnerability remediation, business continuity, and disaster‑recovery testing.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, or network engineering.
• Independent, structured, and solution‑oriented working style.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to provide a recent criminal record extract.

Required skills

• LAN, WLAN, WAN, and internet connectivity knowledge.
• Experience with infrastructure hardware lifecycle management.
• Network monitoring and fault‑resolution expertise.
• Understanding of IT security, change management, compliance, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
