Software Architect – Large‑Scale Travel Pricing Engine

About the role

Zerolook is building a next‑generation travel pricing engine that handles billions of queries each month with sub‑second latency. As a Software Architect you will define and own the core infrastructure that powers this high‑performance system.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design, and lead implementation of a large‑scale, cost‑effective architecture.
• Own non‑functional KPIs such as security, scalability, availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Set engineering standards, mentor growing teams, and drive best‑practice adoption.
• Collaborate with founders and industry partners to shape Zerolook’s core offering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years leading design, implementation, and deployment of enterprise‑class applications.
• Experience building systems that serve >1 K QPS with ~1 s latency.
• Strong foundation in Java and related enterprise technologies, plus competency in C++.
• Comfort with “0‑to‑1” startup environments, rapid iteration, and extreme ownership.
• Travel‑tech experience (OTAs, metasearch, GDS/NDC) is a strong plus.
