Software Engineer III – Full Stack (Shopping on Gemini)

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Shopping on Gemini team. You will help build best‑in‑class consumer experiences that leverage the latest GenAI advancements and integrate with Gemini and Chrome.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select appropriate technologies.
• Write, review, and maintain full‑stack code across back‑end (Java, Python, Golang, C++) and front‑end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS) components.
• Develop and integrate statistical and data‑analysis tools into product features.
• Contribute to building LLM‑based applications and ensure accessibility compliance.
• Manage feature development, quality, and technical debt across the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of full‑stack development experience.
• 1 year of experience using statistical or data‑analysis tools.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, experience with accessible technologies, LLM‑based applications, and feature‑development management.
