Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Account and Device Integrity

About the role

Google’s software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that power billions of users worldwide. The Account and Device Integrity (ADI) team protects Google users and products from abusive accounts, while the Core team builds the foundational infrastructure that underpins Google’s flagship services.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Review code written by other developers and provide feedback on style, testability and efficiency.
• Contribute to documentation and educational content, updating it as products evolve.
• Triage product or system issues, debug, track and resolve problems affecting hardware, network or service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of experience with large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems, compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Experience with high‑throughput data pipelines and high‑scale graph‑based systems.
• Background in anti‑abuse engineering and performance analysis/debugging of large distributed systems.
