Software Engineer

About the role

Join an interdisciplinary team in Bern to develop tailored digital solutions for public‑sector clients. You will work on complex mobile and web projects, covering analysis, specification, implementation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop solution variants, assessing client benefit, technology fit and effort.
• Implement complex requirements using modern technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, TypeScript, Apache Kafka, Swift, Azure, Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain software components and interfaces in a business‑critical environment.
• Integrate solutions following CI/CD principles and merge them with existing client systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients via modern collaboration platforms.

Required profile

• University degree in computer science or a related field.
• Several years of experience with at least one of the listed technologies.
• Strong interest in public‑sector digitalisation and consulting.
• Excellent German (mandatory) and English language skills.
• Willingness to undergo a personal security clearance for certain projects.
