Software Engineer (m/f/d) – Full‑time

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Chiasso office and help build the core financial services that power MF Group’s payment and invoicing products. You will work on ledgers, invoice flows and credit‑card or digital‑payment solutions in a dynamic, informal atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and ship robust, maintainable software, APIs and workflows for account‑balance tracking and invoice creation.
• Collaborate with the team to improve software architecture, reduce complexity and integrate new payment systems.
• Monitor production systems, identify optimisation opportunities and ensure data flows accurately across merchants and platforms.
• Contribute ideas for technical improvement and adopt best engineering practices.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented and/or functional programming paradigms.
• Critical thinking attitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English (Italian preferred) across disciplines.

Required skills

• Java programming language.
• Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).
• Experience with containerised architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of modular, scalable application design.
• Interest or experience in Machine Learning technologies.
