About the role

Lead a team of engineers building backend services for Cisco Secure Workload, focusing on scale, performance, reliability, robustness, and security. The role involves designing and implementing telemetry collection, policy rendering, and low‑latency APIs for complex distributed environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for backend services that process telemetry at scale.
• Design and implement highly scalable APIs and policy rendering mechanisms for large numbers of enforcement points.
• Ensure solutions are robust, performant, and secure in distributed, failure‑prone environments.

Required profile

• 9+ years of software development experience in Go, C++, Java or similar languages.
• Proven technical leadership in an agile engineering environment.
• Bachelor’s degree with 11+ years experience, Master’s with 9+ years, PhD with 4+ years, or equivalent professional experience.

• Algorithms, systems, databases, performance engineering, security architecture.
• Schema/data modeling and large‑scale event processing.
