Staff Digital Design Engineer – Sensor ICs

About the role

This role is part of an EMM-based team responsible for sensor IC development in the BU Motion & Optical Sensing. It is fully on-site, five days a week, with no hybrid or remote work possible.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute technically and oversee sensor IC development, covering low-power integrated circuits, system-level performance definition, architecture and firmware algorithms that meet system specifications while meeting schedule and performance targets.
• Model, develop and verify digital modules and functions in a structured and organized way.
• Interface with EM remote design teams and support the BU technical leader in product definition, including technical analysis.
• Interface with Quality, Design Services, Fab and Back-End.

Required profile

• MS degree with 7-10 years of experience in the relevant field, or a PhD in a matching field.
• Prior experience in machine learning technology and architecture.
• Prior experience in sensor-oriented IC products.
• Clear communication with external groups and strong motivation to satisfy external customer requirements for MOS products.
• English at C-level required; French is an asset.

Required skills

• Digital IC development from architecture definition through release to fabrication.
• Digital architecture and implementation from RTL to GDS flow, including logic synthesis, place-and-route, static timing analysis and power analysis.
• Firmware development.
• Industry-standard tools and validation approaches, including UVM methodology.
