Store Construction Project Manager

About the role

Join Columbia Sportswear’s Store Construction team at the EMEA headquarters in Geneva and lead the delivery of retail spaces across Europe. You will be responsible for construction, opening and refit projects for a variety of store formats, ensuring each project meets brand standards, stays on budget and opens on time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction, opening and refit projects for retail spaces across Europe, managing up to 35 projects per year.
• Coordinate with architects, external partners, mall owners and internal teams to ensure designs meet Columbia’s concept and standards.
• Negotiate and validate supplier quotes, track budgets and costs, and protect opening deadlines.
• Travel regularly to site locations to monitor progress, resolve issues and ensure smooth execution.
• Contribute to process improvements to increase team efficiency and time management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑country construction, store openings or refits.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight timelines.
• Decision‑maker who remains calm under pressure and communicates effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.

Required skills

• AutoCAD – ability to read and adjust technical plans.
• Advanced Excel for budget analysis and cost tracking.
• Experience with collaborative tools such as SharePoint and Smartsheet.
