Supply Chain Junior Manager (80-100%)

About the role

Microcaps is looking for a Supply Chain Junior Manager to own end‑to‑end material flow, from raw‑material sourcing to shipment of finished bulk. You will report to the Chief Customer Delivery Officer and collaborate closely with Commercial, Production, Product Development and Quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan production campaigns on site in Worben together with cross‑functional teams and ensure raw‑material availability.
• Translate customer forecasts into rolling material and capacity plans, managing lead times and safety stocks.
• Handle purchasing activities: sourcing, RFQs, price and lead‑time negotiations, framework agreements and creation of purchase orders.
• Support inventory management at the Worben factory, including stock counts, cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO tracking and setting reorder parameters.
• Own inbound and outbound logistics: freight forwarders, Incoterms, delivery notes, export and customs documentation, and act as escalation point for delivery issues.
• Serve as the key ERP user for supply chain, maintaining product master data, supplier records, routes and workflow documentation.

Required profile

• Higher education in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in purchasing, planning or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production or campaign planning and inventory management (cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO, batch traceability).
• Analytical mindset, well‑organized, precise and comfortable working both on the factory floor and at a desk.
• Very good English (B2+); good German is a strong plus for the Worben site.

Required skills

• Proficient ERP user (Odoo experience is a strong plus).
• Inventory management and purchasing processes.
• International logistics knowledge, Incoterms and Swiss/EU export & customs documentation.
• Office 365 suite, especially Teams, SharePoint and Excel.
