System Engineer

About the role

As a System Engineer you will join the Engineering & Systems Automation 1 team, supporting the Sensors and Cartridges manufacturing area. You will ensure smooth OT and system support for production lines and contribute to capacity expansion projects from a systems engineering perspective.

Key responsibilities

• Independent administration of IT/OT infrastructure including servers, clients, networks, virtualization environments and OT systems for production lines.
• Provide direct support for troubleshooting at system, application and network levels in coordination with automation engineers, Global IT and suppliers.
• Implement corrective and preventive measures, manage patch updates, backups and lifecycle of server infrastructure.
• Create and maintain system design specifications, architecture diagrams and work instructions in a GMP environment.

Required profile

• Vocational training or further education in computer science, systems engineering or a comparable field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, IT administration or automation engineering, preferably in a regulated (GxP) environment.
• Strong analytical skills for complex system malfunctions and ability to question conventional IT operations.
• Fluent German and very good English.
