Systems & Cloud Engineer

About the role

You will modernize BCP's hybrid infrastructure, expanding the Microsoft 365 and Azure footprint while maintaining a robust on‑premises foundation. The position combines deep infrastructure expertise with an automation mindset and ensures security and compliance are built into every pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Build and extend the cloud and automation platform, migrating on‑premises workloads to Azure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) for repeatable, auditable environments.
• Design and run CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes) with embedded security and compliance checks.
• Pilot AI‑assisted operations (AIOps) for monitoring, anomaly detection and incident response.
• Operate and optimise hybrid platforms: Windows Server, VMware vSphere/ESXi, hyper‑converged systems and Omnissa Horizon VDI.
• Maintain networking and storage foundations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SAN/NAS) and backup services.
• Apply vulnerability patches within SLAs and ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of bank information systems.
• Document procedures, support resilience stress tests and act as second‑level escalation point.

Required profile

• Degree in IT Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in systems/infrastructure engineering, preferably in a regulated Swiss banking environment.
• Swiss residency and fluency in French and English.

Required skills

• Azure and Microsoft 365 (identity, networking, governance).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Ansible, Terraform.
• CI/CD platforms: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• On‑premises expertise: Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware vSphere, Hyper‑converged systems, Omnissa Horizon VDI.
• Networking/storage: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, SAN/NAS.
