Systems Integration Leader (Gas Power)

About the role

GEV's Gas Power Business is looking for a proven leader in the gas power industry to drive growth, innovation and competitiveness. The role is based in Baden and focuses on executing new product introduction (NPI) for the expanding production and fleet of F-class and E-class power islands, while supporting initiatives to increase delivery volume through standardization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Plant System Engineering expertise, including product history, plant layout, configuration control, performance limits and multi-generational product plants.
• Balance product goals and trade-offs for quality, performance, cost, reliability, operability and emissions.
• Organize engineering-team work, develop engineering resource plans and drive programs to completion, owning on-time, on-budget and quality delivery.
• Solve customer issues quickly and decisively on quality, performance, reliability and operability.
• Lead NPI programs across engineering organizations, applying the NPI process, coordinating technical reviews with the Chief Engineers Office and communicating technical and program risks with mitigations.
• Set strategic direction for engineering teams and help GEV differentiate itself in a changing power market, considering regional differences.
• Work across manufacturing, services, engineering and product management to improve processes, role clarity and tools.
• Prepare product documentation for handover to ITO and submission to partners and customers, support the ITO team on commercial bidding and advise customers.
• Mentor professional and lead professional engineers.

Required profile

• Significant experience in engineering and systems engineering; knowledge level comparable to a bachelor's degree (outside the USA).
• For USA roles: bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 6 years of experience in the relevant function.
• Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems and to lead programs and projects.
