Systems Support Engineer – Basel

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Support Engineer to join our client’s IT team in Basel. The role involves ensuring the stability, performance, and compliance of production‑grade IT systems within a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, process, and resolve IT incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Monitor system performance, conduct error analysis, and manage problems.
• Administer and deploy applications using a software distribution solution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and IT inventory.
• Provide training on IT topics to end‑users.
• Collaborate on IT projects, system expansions, and continuous process improvements.
• Implement and document tasks in a GMP‑compliant manner.
• Support audits, inspections, and work with internal IT partners and suppliers.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Completed education in IT or computer science.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, network technologies, and virtualization.
• Experience managing systems, applications, and infrastructure, including backup and imaging solutions.
• Familiarity with IT service management processes.
• Fluent in spoken and written German and English.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑oriented mindset.
• Team player with a proactive attitude.
