Tech Lead - Factory OS

About the role

We are looking for a Tech Lead to own the interface layer of our Manufacturing Intelligence platform. Based in our new Zurich headquarters, you will bridge the CEO’s vision with production‑ready code, shaping the operating system that powers autonomous factories across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and own the complete interface stack for the Manufacturing Intelligence platform, including customer portal, ERP/MES integration, partner APIs and security layers.
• Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of operator interfaces, production dashboards and quality management tools.
• Build and mentor a high‑performance engineering team from the ground up, recruiting “A‑players” and fostering a “player‑coach” culture.
• Collaborate with factory operators in Germany to validate that the architecture meets real‑world production constraints.
• Make high‑stakes architectural decisions with minimal supervision, ensuring speed‑to‑market is maintained.

Required profile

• 5‑7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven record of delivering complex, scalable platforms.
• Demonstrated experience leading a product division or core company component from 0‑to‑1.
• Track record of recruiting, mentoring and growing high‑performing engineering teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Zurich and spend time on a production floor in Germany.
• Strong sense of urgency and comfort thriving in a fast‑moving startup environment.
